Below is a copy of the spec sheet for Shell V-Power diesel. Notice the top line - BS cetane rating for diesel is 51 - V-Power diesel guarantee 56 minimum. I have no idea what all the other stuff means, but that's the reason cars run smoother with premium fuels.
I have a 2017 Volvo V60 D3 2.0-litre diesel. The difference in additives for FuelSave and V-Power is much less than the P2.50/L premium. It's not 100% diesel. For one, all local fuels need 2% CME. Then there's the additives for FuelSave as well. Production cost is pretty much the same for FuelSave and V-Power. Sent from my SM-N9208 using Tapatalk.
