🐕 Is Noctua Nh D15 Good

The NH-D15 itself is a creation of beauty and majesty, towering 6.4” above the CPU and covering roughly the footprint of a mini-ITX motherboard. Noctua ships it with enough hardware to fit both Regardless, none of them look that extreme, as long as it fits in your case, and doesn't bump into ram or whatever, it's not overkill. The low profile (NH-L9a-AM4) would be underkill unless that's all that'll fit. The cooler you can keep your CPU, the better boost you'll get, and bigger fans make more airflow with less noise, so bigger is better. The thermal performance of the Noctua NH-D15 is beyond amazing. This is expected from a beefy dual-tower cooler but the surprising part is that the NH-D15 does everything while being the quietest at the same time (more on that below). Even though our Ryzen 5 3600 was consuming an average of 75-80W with a core voltage of 1.347v. This includes the RAM, but the NH-D15 I'm looking to get will block them from view. This leaves me with two options. Option A: Move the fan that normally sits on the right side of the right heatsink to the left side on the left heatsink. Like this. Option B: Get a NH-D15S. Like this. Which of these options will be closer to the stock NH-D15's Noctua NH-D15 + Ryzen 5800x - normal temps, but incredible noise. Okay guys. This will be a bit weird. I've plugged in the LNA (Low-Noise Adaptors) included with the cooler. This, based on the LTT review, limits the fans from 1500 to 1200 RPM. - My temperatures increased by no more than 1.5'C during stress (and about 3-4'C when idle) I've upgraded from an i7-4790K to the i9-12900K a couple of months ago and have reused the NH-D15. While the previous processor was happily sitting at about 60 degrees at full load, the 12900K is quite a bit hotter, topping out at 90 (idle about 30 while regular workload seems to be around 50-60). I understand fully the 12900K is a power hungry Good cooling performance. Cons -Premium price-Fan color is not conducive to themed builds. Noctua NH-U12A at Amazon for $119.95; Slap the fans from a Corsair H110 in the heatsink of a NH-D15, and put the Noctua fans on the H110 and test that. Aio will win. It's all in the fans. While Noctua fans on a rad can lower the noise AIO makes, one Noctua 140mm fan costs about $20. bZFowA.
